History of Thai cuisine
Since the 1980s, when tourism to Thailand skyrocketed, Thai cuisine has established itself as one of the world's foremost culinary traditions. It ranks in the top 5 most consumed cuisines in the world, along with Indian, Chinese, French, and Italian. Many centuries ago, people from southern Chinese regions immigrated to what is now Thailand, bringing with them their cuisine. Although many other cultures' cuisines have influenced best Thai Victoria over the years, Szechwan cuisine has played an important role in the development of Thai cuisine. A long time ago, Buddhist monks introduced an Indian twist to Thai cuisine, and Muslim states in the south affected southern Thai cuisine. Eventually, after encounters with Portuguese missionaries and Dutch commerce, European cuisine began to seep into Thai cooking. Japan had some influences on the period. Nowadays, best Thai Victoria cuisine stands on its own, thanks to its signature combination of sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spic
